Well, the official start time for the pre-orders was 3am EST, Feb 3 - today. 3am is midnight here in California. I signed in about 15 minutes early, suddenly, after only 5 minutes of waiting, the screen came alive and said I could now order. I completed the the whole thing before midnight which means I ordered on Feb 2. People in Hawaii are probably saying "What's the big deal." But I must have been one of the very first to order.
What really annoyed me is the site said it would ship on Feb 10, when it goes on sell for everyone in the retail stores. How annoying that I will get mine the same time as everyone else, a whole week from now. Checked my order today and it said "Already Shipped." I was amazed, what does it mean? No company was named and no tracking number so I'm thinking it hasn't really shipped, but it would be great if it did - it would mean I'd get the phone tomorrow since I got free next day shipping.
I'll just have to wait and see if it shows up tomorrow. Fingers crossed!!

I am thinking of buying an iphone, but an older version, on eBay. I suppose I don't need latest technology. What do you think about that. What would be the cons?

Anywho, thanks to Sprint offering the new 4S, I took possession of my first iPhone this week. As a customer who is eternally indentured to this carrier by renewing my 2 yr contract repeatedly just to upgrade every year, I felt doomed and betrayed. Yes, I was supposed to be eligible for discount on 10/1, when they conveniently terminated the 1 yr mark. The last new phone I obtained was a Palm Pre-an awesome smart phone with an elegant OS. Tragedy struck when it slipped out of my back pocket and landed in the toilet (I'm a girl. We sit down to go potty). Good thing I opted for the TEP program. However, they had no Pre's left. So I have been literally suffering with an HTC Hero for the past year. It was horrible!
But I discovered that I could just add another line to my plan and get this wonder of technology. On Tuesday evening, UPS arrived around 6:30 pm with this amazing tool. I now regained my faith in touch screens.
I realize that your blogging about a previous version. But for some reason feel compelled to express my new found iPhone joy.
I think I'll go play with it now!
