Rachel Maddow

Rachel states it very clearly: most Americans are Democrats even if they don't know it. the problem is that the Democrats have no idea how to communicate to anybody what they are all about. They are FOR all of us, the bottom 99% of the US population, while the Republicans are for that very rich 1% of Americans and for corporations. But they have managed to trick large portions of the populations into voting Republican.

I saw that show and thought this was a good point too. But you are right about the thorough failure on the part of the Democratic Party to communicate their identity. The other point Maddow made was that many Democrats have made a big mistake by trying to move more to the right and give up their representation of the 99%. Sad but true.

Yeah, I heard a poll just before the 2010 elections. First they showed what the majority of Americans believe in, and it was identical to the democratic platform. But the majority of the people polled did not associate any of that with the Democrat party.

Talk about terrible messaging.
