Apparently Bill has never been there before either and was amazed at what he saw:
I couldn't get over the fact that there was no difference between Sylvia's restaurant and any other restaurant in New York City. I mean, it was exactly the same, even though it's run by blacks, primarily black patronship.First time I heard about this I just couldn't believe it but it's the real thing as you can see here at Media Matters. They even have the audio of Bill saying this. Bill goes on to say:
There wasn't one person in Sylvia's who was screaming, 'M-Fer, I want more iced tea.' You know, I mean, everybody was -- it was like going into an Italian restaurant in an all-white suburb in the sense of people were sitting there, and they were ordering and having fun. And there wasn't any kind of craziness at all.Wow! Black people acting just like ordinary people!!?? When did this happen? Must have been when Bill had his head up his ass.
It's astonishing that anyone could be that much of a racist in this day and age and not even know he was one. In fact, when CNN did a story on this, playing the audio so everyone would know Bill really said it, O'Reilly called up the anchor and screamed at him over the phone for making him look like a racist.
Seems like Billo's head is still firmly jammed up there.
